A woman who owns massage parlors in Texas and New Mexico faces federal charges after her employees were caught offering sex, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Shaoping Wen, 64, and her associate, Xu Wang, 41, were charged with conspiracy to use interstate travel in aid of racketeering enterprises.
They were arrested on March 21 in New Mexico and made their initial appearances Wednesday in Las Cruces. They will be transferred to Lubbock for prosecution.
According to the complaint, Wen owned and operated at least seven massage parlors where Asian women engaged in commercial sex.
