Cisco Cruzito Pinto, a 37-year-old man, from Dulce, is facing aggravated sexual assault charges from a 2023 incident. He will remain in third-party custody in a halfway house until his trial, which is expected to begin shortly.
The complaint states that on September 13, 2023, Pinto was out drinking with his wife in Pagosa Springs, CO. When they returned home, Pinto’s wife went to sleep. The complaint stated Pinto then went into the bedroom of a 14-year-old family member and sexually assaulted her. He claimed he threatened to strike her if she told anyone.
While taking a shower, the victim told Pinto’s wife what he had done. His wife called 911, and Jicarilla Police Officers took Pinto out of the house.
If convicted, Pinto faces at least 30 years in jail and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
